【摘要】:ThistestmethodprovidesasimplermeansforthedeterminationofthehydroxylcontentofcelluloseestersthanthepreparationandmeasurementofthecarbanilatederivativedescribedinTestMethodsD817andD871.Thehydroxylcontentisanimportantindicatorofsolubilityandreactivity.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminingthepercenthydroxyloncelluloseestersbypotentiometrictitration.Thetypicalrangeofpercenthydroxylmeasuredis0.7to10.0%.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
