【摘要】:1ProductdefinitionThisEuropeanStandardcontainstheinitial,startoflifedimensional,optical,mechanicalandenvironmentalperformancerequirementswhichaterminatedandassembledsinglemoderesilientalignmentsleeveLC-PCduplexconnectorset(plug/adaptor/plug)mustmeetinorderforittobecategorisedasanEuropeanStandardproduct.Sincedifferentvariantsandgradesofperformancearepermitted,productmarkingdetailsaregivenin3.5.2IntermateabilityAlthoughallproductsconformingtotherequirementsofthisEuropeanStandardwillintermate,theresultinglevelofrandomattenuationperformancewillonlybeensuredinaccordancewithTable1.Theintentionisthatthiswillbetrueirrespectiveofthemanufacturingsource(s)oftheproduct.Inallcases,theintermatingofplugvariantshavingdifferentattenuationorreturnlossgradeswillresultinanuncertainlevelofrandomattenuationperformance.Whenintermatingplugvariantshavingdifferentreturnlossgrades,theresultinglevelofreturnlosscannotbeassuredtobeanybetterthantheworstreturnlossgrade.Similarly,theintermatingofagradePplugwithagradeQplugwillresultinanuncertainlevelofrandomattenuationperformance.Asimplexplugcanbeconnectedinaduplexadaptorwithoutdegradingthelevelofperformance.3OperatingenvironmentThetestsselectedcombinedwiththeseveritiesanddurationsarerepresentativeofanexternalweatherprotectedenvironmentdefinedby:·ES200671ExternalweatherprotectedenvironmentdefinedbyES300019classes3.3,3.4and3.5;·EN61753-2-1CategoryU:uncontrolledenvironment4ReliabilityWhilsttheanticipatedservicelifeexpectancyoftheproductinthisenvironmentis20years,compliancewiththisEuropeanStandarddoesnotguaranteethereliabilityoftheproduct.Thisshouldbepredictedusingarecognisedreliabilityassessmentprogramme.5QualityassuranceCompliancewiththisEuropeanStandarddoesnotguaranteethemanufacturingconsistencyoftheproduct.Thisshouldbemaintainedusingarecognisedqualityassuranceprogramme.
