【摘要】:TheASMEandAPInewconstructioncodesandstandardsforpressurizedequipmentproviderulesforthedesign,fabrication,inspectionandtestingofnewpressurevessels,pipingsystems,andstoragetanks.Thesecodesdonotproviderulestoevaluateequipmentthatdegradeswhilein-serviceanddeficienciesduetodegradationorfromoriginalfabricationthatmaybefoundduringsubsequentinspections.API510,API570,API653,andNB-23Codes/Standardsfortheinspection,repair,alteration,andreratingofin-servicepressurevessels,pipingsystems,andstoragetanksdoaddressthefactthatequipmentdegradeswhileinservice.Fitness-For-Service(FFS)assessmentsarequantitativeengineeringevaluationsthatareperformedtodemonstratethestructuralintegrityofanin-servicecomponentthatmaycontainaflawordamage.ThisStandardprovidesguidanceforconductingFFSassessmentsusingmethodologiesspecificallypreparedforpressurizedequipment.TheguidelinesprovidedinthisStandardcanbeusedtomakerun-repair-replacedecisionstohelpdetermineifpressurizedequipmentcontainingflawsthathavebeenidentifiedbyinspectioncancontinuetooperatesafelyforsomeperiodoftime.TheseFFSassessmentsarecurrentlyrecognizedandreferencedbytheAPICodesandStandards(510,570,&653),andbyNB-23assuitablemeansforevaluatingthestructuralintegrityofpressurevessels,pipingsystemsandstoragetankswhereinspectionhasrevealeddegradationandflawsintheequipment.
