【摘要】:Thetechniquesdescribedhereinareusedtoproduceleak-tightsolderedjointsbetweencopperandcopperalloytubeandfittings,eitherinshopoperationsorinthefield.Skillandknowledgeonthepartoftheoperatorormechanicarerequiredtoobtainasatisfactorilysolderedjoint.1.1Thispracticedescribesaprocedureformakingcapillaryjointsbysolderingofcopperandcopperalloytubeandfittings.1.2Thisprocedureisapplicabletopressurizedsystemssuchasplumbing,heating,airconditioning,refrigeration,mechanical,firesprinkler,andothersimilarsystems.ASMEB31.5andB31.9referencethetechniquesusedforsatisfactoryjointpreparation.Itisalsousedintheassemblyofnonpressurizedsystemssuchasdrainage,waste,andvent.1.3Itisnotapplicabletotheassemblyofelectricalorelectronicsystems.1.4Tubeandfittingsaremanufacturedwithincertaintolerancestoprovideforthesmallvariationsindimensionsassociatedwithmanufacturingpractice.ApplicablespecificationsarelistedinAppendixX1.1.5Avarietyofsoldersareavailablethatwillproducesound,leak-tightjoints.Choiceofsolderwilldependuponthetypeofapplicationandonlocalcodes.Forpotablewatersystems,onlylead-freesoldersshallbeused,someofwhicharedescribedinSpecificationB32.1.6Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forhazardstatements,seethewarningstatementsin6.4.1,6.6.1,and6.6.3.
